Busy day in the collections office

A busy, but very productive, day has been had by all.

Mitch Embrey has been here as part of his work experience and has been ploughing through piles of manufacturer brochures, cleaning aircraft manuals and helping us have a good sort out in the office.

Meanwhile, the Fairey Ultralight team have been priming the upper side of the fuselage ready for its top coat and will, next week, host a visit from GateGuardsUK who may be able to help us later in the project by producing some replacement glazing for the aircraft.

Back in the collections office, we have all been working hard to continue documenting the never-ending collection of the late Eric Myall and are  finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The hardest part of documenting such an extensive collection relates to our tendency to get lost in the information and spending our time exploring and researching the content!

All in a days work...

Lynx prep for Yeovilton Air Day

A few pictures as an update on progress on XX910.

Our Lynx 3 is also being taken to Yeovilton today for some TLC before being displayed alongside XX910 and G-LYNX at Yeovilton Air Day.
